Description

Just what does Auckland mean to us? This exciting and exuberant issue explores the question, and has been selected from the huge number of submissions received, as well as from the work of invited contributors. It is essay-rich, with Auckland-themed pieces from Martin Edmond, Michael Morrissey, Majella Cullinane, Iain Sharp, John Horrocks and others. Poems or fiction from Peter Bland, Riemke Ensing, Paula Green, Anna Jackson, Cilla McQueen, Owen Marshall, Alice Miller, Emma Neale, Joanna Preston and others extend the theme. And Pat White contributes his Seresin Landfall Residencey essay. Photography portfolios from Harvey Benge and emerging artist Greta Anderson feature, as well as back-page graphic art by Samantha Mitchell: all Auckland-based artists. The Landfall Review features a number of recent books, including a poetry collection by the German refugee Karl Wolfskehl, published recently by Holloway Press.
